On January 27, 2024, the Honorary Consul V. Zakharian participated in the solemn ceremony of laying the wreaths and flowers at the monument "the Motherland" at the Piskarevsky Memorial Cemetery, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of total liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The event was attended by the Spokesperson of the Federation Council, as well as by other heads of federal ministries and agencies, the heads of Russian regions, public figures and representatives of friendly states, as well as by employees of those enterprises working in Leningrad during the Siege.
